NFL Playoff Format and Rules
The NFL playoffs is a 14 team tournament, consisting of the top 7 teams from the NFC and AFC.
Seeds 1-4 for each conference will be reserved for the division champion. The seeds between these teams are based on their overall record
Seeds 5-7 will be reserved for wildcard teams, which are the teams in each conference with the best overall records that are not division champions.

- Strength of schedule
- Conference ranking in points scored and allowed
- Total ranking in points scored and allowed
- Net points in common games
- Net points in all games
- Net touchdowns in all games

Conference Tiebreakers
- Apply division tiebreakers to eliminate all but 1 team in each division.
- Head-to-head
- Record in conference games
- Record in common games
- Strength of victory
- Strength of schedule
- Combined ranking among conference teams in points scored and allowed
- Total ranking in points scored and allowed
- Net points in conference games
- Net points in all games
- Net touchdowns
- Coin toss
